I was looking for an LCD TV that I could mount to the wall of my living room and I found this model at Best Buy. Originally I did not even think about getting a DVD combo unit but when I realized that I was going to wall mount the unit, it would be easier for me to set up the whole environment without having to add an extra DVD Player. Also the price of this TV is much less than Samsung or Sony that do not have the LCD TV so I see it as an added feature rather than added cost.
When I turned the TV on after getting the whole wall-mounting done (it did take two of my sons to help me), voila, what a great picture. The first DVD I put on was the Revenge of the Sith and I was at awe. I was a little concerned with Westinghouse brand because they are not known for LCD TV (even though they did have TV products when I was a lot younger), but that concern quickly went away.
So In summary, I found this product great and does deserve a 5-star because:
1. Great picture quality
2. On-screen Menu is easy for me to navigate
3. Absolutely Great Price
4. Built-in DVD Player
5. No issues what so ever.

So far, so good! We love our new LCD TV. We weren't really looking for one with a DVD built in, but it's a great extra feature and very easy to use. This was the most reasonably priced LCD in the 40" range that we could find. We also liked the Sharp Aquos, but in the end, this TV offered just as nice of a picture, but at a much better price and with the DVD besides. The set-up manual looks clear and easy, but we just didn't get it the first time through. The viewing angle is very wide. The color does wash out somewhat, but not until you are almost completely to the side of the TV. The HD stations are amazing! Overall, we feel like this TV was well worth the price and allowed us to have all the newest features at a price we could afford.

I had been searching for an HDTV larger than 32" for several months a before I finally found this 40" LCD/DVD Combo. I fell in love with the Phillips 42" Plasma HDTV with Ambi-light. After viewing the Westinghouse 40" LCD I found it to be the better value with great technical quality. I found that when watching stations in HDTV and DVD, I have to turn the volume up significantly higher than while watching normal TV stations. The built-in DVD player and it works great with a variety of DVD formats. The PIP/POP/PBP function with a DVD and TV works fine as well. On-screen Menu is simple to navigate through.

I had been looking for several months for a HDTV before I finally purchased this one. The last time I purchased a TV was ten years ago, so the difference is dramatic. Setup was easy. I just connected a VCR, coax cable, and Xbox 360. I ran a scan that took a few minutes and then I was watching TV in a matter of minutes. I did not make any adjustments to any of the settings (color, brightness, etc.). Football games in HD look amazing. When watching shows in HDTV, I have to turn the volume up much higher than when watching regular TV. I tried out the built-in DVD player and it worked just fine. I also tested the PIP function with a DVD and TV. I would recommend this TV to anyone looking for a nice LCD.
